A look back on 2008

Here's a look back on our past year and all the changes that have taken place.
{warning: hold on kids, this is a long one!}

January

*After days of the little man not eating, find a bottle he will take and he is now eating formula like a champ. He has not been growing, still 12lbs and has been for the past 3 1/2 months, we hope that formula will help.*Enjoying playing in the snow that we have had for most of the month now.
*Despite snow, school has is still running, in fact the daughter goes on a field trip to the Fire station.
*The Daughter starts swimming lessons again at the Aquatics center and is working on getting over her fear of jumping in.

February
*Get 18" more inches of snow on the 1st, making our total snow on ground over 3 ft!*WSU cancels school for the first time in 20 yrs, we spend the day watching movies and playing together. School for the Daughter is canceled for the whole week.
*Host our annual super bowl party, the guys had a great time and devoured everything I made. Giants won making Randy ecstatic! No girls came this year...not so much fun for me :(
*Celebrate Valentines by having a fancy family dinner complete with the china and talk about how important it is to love one another.
*I get a new camera...love, love, love it!

March
*The little man weighs 14 1/2 lbs now (has gained 2.7 lbs in the last 3 months). Has out grown the baby bathtub and is now upgraded to the real thing.
*Start doing mom & me swimming classes at the Aquatics center.*Throw my little sister a baby shower in TC.
*Randy and good friend (& co-worker) run the staples booth at the Home & Garden Show (really it was a local business fair).
*Celebrate Easter by dying eggs, attending stake primary party, and going to city egg hunt.
*Snows again, we wonder where spring is?!

April
*I teach at Camp for the 9th year
*The kids come up to Camp for a day, the Daughter loves it and wants to stay the night.
*The little man learns to pull himself to a standing position, time to move the crib mattress down.*Attend a preschool classroom luau.
*The daughter moves up a level at swimming lessons and is doing great!
*I'm busy with CICC and parent advisory board meetings
*Randy super busy finalizing class projects and giving presentations.

May
*Randy attends last day of college lectures and only has two finals.*Randy graduates from WSU with his Bachelors in MIS!
*Have a ton of family stay with us and help us celebrate Randy's graduation. Very fun weekend!
*Mom, Krissy, and Payten come visit us in Pullman for the last time.
*We take a quick trip to Boise to find a house, come leave with nothing and no prospects...stressed!
*The daughter says good-bye to her wonderful teacher that has graduated and is moving...sad.*Trying to live up life in Pullman before the move.

June
*The daughter's last day of school
*Say good-bye to good friends*Randy works his last day at Staples.
*Leave Pullman for the last time.
*After snow storms & a tire blow out, we arrive in Boise at our new home.
*I celebrate a birthday
*Experience Dairy Days for the first time.
*The little man turns 1 years old...holy smokes!
*We spend a few days in TC visiting family before Randy's new job starts

July
*Randy starts his new job.
*Celebrate 4th of July by going to a ward breakfast, having a BBQ, and lighting fireworks off with the neighbors.
*Go to the Twin Falls Temple open house with Randy's parents
*While in Twin, go see Shoshone Falls...beautiful.
*Randy has his first business trip to Austin TX*Randy celebrates a birthday

August
*My mom, Krystal, Payten and my grandma come visit us.
*We enjoy playing in our backyard in the beautiful weather.*Make good friends here and are having fun getting together
*The daughter starts preschool and really likes her teacher.

September
*Ryan, Megan, and kids come to visit. We have a great time together!
*Randy in Boston for more training, he's become quite the expert traveler.
*Met Mindy in TC for a quick visit (in town for a total of 26 hrs). Celebrate my niece's birthday while there.*The Daughter & I do the women Fitness 5K with good friends Joleen & her girls. It pours all day.

October
*Randy's parents stop to visit on their way to Burley. We enjoyed their visit and are glad they decided to stay with us.
*Pick grapes from our backyard and make grape juice out of them.
*Can applesauce and peaches
*The little man is finally walking!
*Randy gets a guitar and is so excited to learn to play.*Make a quick trip to TC to celebrate Cody's birthday.
*The daughter goes on a trip with Papa and aunt Mindy to pick spuds. She still talks about the fun she had.
*I fly to Seattle to meet Mindy, Melanie, and Megan for a girls weekend.

November
*Enjoying the fall colors*Raking tons of leaves
*The daughter celebrates her 5th birthday.
*We all get the stomach flu...not something we want to repeat.
*I go to the Midnight showing of Twilight
*Enjoy a peaceful Thanksgiving at home followed by early morning shopping with the kids.

December
*Work on making homemade Christmas presents
*Host a family Christmas party
*Attend many Christmas parties
*Travel to TC for the week of Christmas
*Take the kids to the temple to see the nativity (a holiday tradition). It was something like 8 degrees and windy...we didn't stay long!*Have a great Christmas with our families
*Get stuck in the TC due to the passes being closed, finally get home to enjoy the rest of our vacation together.

2008 was a year filled with many blessings and great times.
Now let's move on to a new year!
