We finally have employment!!!!

In the course of two very stressful hours we received a job offer, counter offered (it was ridiculously crappy), they countered with almost everything we asked for plus some, we said a prayer, called them back, and now we have EMPLOYMENT!!!!

Only draw back; we have to say good bye to a city we love, friends we adore, and house that feels like home. We are moving to the TRI-CITIES...

A Disney creative moment

This past weekend I finally gave into my desire to do a little scrappin'!
I fell in love with a picture of the Daughter from our last trip to Disneyland (8/07) and have been thinking about the best way to showcase it. You can almost feel her excitement through the picture as she takes in the magic.
Here's the finished page. It is now on display in our house (I showcase pages that I create in hanging frames so we can enjoy them a bit before placing them in albums).While it may not be a traditional "Disney" looking page, it captures the Disney details while still being Girlie. Here's a look at the Disney details I'm talking about:Disneyland has plenty of easy to see Disney touches such as the character shaped flower gardens, rides, shows, and even characters themselves walking around the park. However the ones that make the place so amazing are the little details that have to be searched for and have so much thought put in to them. The imagineers at Disney have placed silhouettes of Mickey's head, A.K. Hidden Mickeys, throughout the park that at first glance may not be seen. Going with the Hidden Mickey theme, I decided to make the flowers in to one. Do you see it?

Happy Easter

My Most Treasured physical possession

Each person has a physical something that they treasure, besides their families. To some it's a book, others a blanket. Maybe it's something they've worked their whole life to get or maybe it's something that has been passed down from one generation to another.

Mine are photographs. To date I've collected just over 20,000 photos not just of my life but of generations before. They show the adventures we've had, the lessons we've learned, and who we are. Through them we can relive our life experiences and draw closer to past generations. Each has a story waiting to be told. To me they are Priceless!

Here's a look back on a great week filled with crazy cold weather, lots of hard work, great staff, lots of laughs and a ton of fun.

Now it's time to start working on the plans for next year!

A Birthday Crown

Here's a little something I whipped up moments before heading off to camp to surprise my little sister with.
Her Birthday was mid camp week and she just happened to be coming to camp this year...he,he,he! If you know my little sister at all you know that she doesn't enjoy public attention. So what did I do...Yep that's right, I announced it in the dinning hall during breakfast & had everyone sing to her. Then at lunch we had her stand on the milk crates in front of everyone (complete with crown) to present her with an ice cream sundae & one more round of "Happy Birthday!"
I love you kiddo!Happy 20th Birthday Krystal!!! I hope it was a memorable day filled with lots of love and well wishes.
