"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences. "

Happy 4th Birthday Little Man!

A bit late but jsut had to be documented...

To my dear Little Man,

How can this be, that your are now four years old? Who said you could grow up so fast? Do you know what that does to a Mama's heart? It bring happy tears to my eyes to think of all the wonderful blessings that you have brought to our special little FamLee! Thank you for all the times you remind me to slow down and take in the NOW. The bug crawling down the side walk, the plane flying high in the sky and the breeze drifting across our cheeks would all be missed if it was for you, my observant one. Thank you for being so determined. I know that while at times it is very challenging to raise you, it is what has helped you learn so many things things this past year. You are grown up before my eyes!  I am so very honored to be your Mama.
                                                     Love,   Mom   <3

And to document this celebration of you... a special gift.

And a special cake made just for you...
 That I think you LOVED!

Happy Birthday Little Man!

The Birthday Boy's big day review

only a few weeks behind....The cake (His name has been blurred out for posting on a public space.)

He had a great day filled with donuts, trains, swimming, cake and family. What more could a boy ask for?

The proper way to start out a Birthday

These aren't just any donuts...these are Spud-nuts. They are SO much better!

Three years ago today, I was sitting by pool thinking I only have one more thing I want to get done before we have this baby, which I completed later that morning. He must have sensed my complete calmness because he was born late that same night despite all of us thinking differently, doctor included. He's been keeping us on our toes ever since!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Little Man!

Birthday celebration pictures to follow shortly. :)

A Birthday Recap

Slept in WAY late and enjoyed chocolate chip pancakes (a special Birthday treat)
Went out to dinner at one of her favorite restaurant for dinner:
Loved EVERY moment of them singing Happy Birthday to her.
Why it's the Big Top Cupcake maker!! (She has been wanting one since she saw the infomercial months ago...she's a bit of a "as seen on TV" junkie.)
Having a Cooking Party (her idea). We made aprons, pizza, and cake in a mug. Everyone seemed to have a great time.
Enjoying the Big Top cake at Grandma's house for a Birthday get together.
After almost a week of partying, this mama is ready to move on! Now it's time to prepare for the Holidays.........

Six years ago...

Exactly six years ago to the minute, after months of uncertainty and many trials, our baby girl was born. Overwhelmed with Gratitude, we became parents to an amazing little girl that would test every obstacle she faced to ensure that she would grow into the strong health girl she is today.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
We love you SO MUCH!

A Birthday Crown

Here's a little something I whipped up moments before heading off to camp to surprise my little sister with.
Her Birthday was mid camp week and she just happened to be coming to camp this year...he,he,he! If you know my little sister at all you know that she doesn't enjoy public attention. So what did I do...Yep that's right, I announced it in the dinning hall during breakfast & had everyone sing to her. Then at lunch we had her stand on the milk crates in front of everyone (complete with crown) to present her with an ice cream sundae & one more round of "Happy Birthday!"
I love you kiddo!Happy 20th Birthday Krystal!!! I hope it was a memorable day filled with lots of love and well wishes.

The birthday celebration

Here's a recap of the daughter's birthday.
Warning: it's a long one kids, buckle up!
We celebrated by going to Chuck E. Cheese with our close friends Saturday morning. We decided to party in the morning to try and bet the crowds as best as possible. Turns out we had the place to ourselves for the first 45 minutes...sweet! The kids had a blast, I found a coupon that made the trip only cost $10 (that's right only $10) and it was surprisingly relaxing for the adults, which may be a first!
Then we let her choose where we went for lunch, she chose Red Robin. Why Red Robin you ask? Because she wanted someone to sing to her and give her ice cream with sprinkles. Sounds like a good reason to me!
Finally figured out how to drink from a straw
Here is the only cake/candle picture we have because I had planned on making her a big pink princess cake on her actually birthday. Unfortunately, she came down with the stomach flu an hour after this picture and had no desire for food of any kind after that.
On her actually birthday talking to Aunt Mindy. She had many phone calls wishing her a Happy Birthday. The calls really made her day!
The one thing she asked for...a pink scooter.
Opening presents that her family had sent her.
The little man trying to resist opening the presents...good boy!
Overall, I think she had a great birthday and she is super excited to be 5. Now she would like to go to kindergarten tomorrow. It may be a long rest of the school year! :)
