"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences. "

A fun school party

To celebrate the Week of the Young Child, my daughter's class planned a luau party for their families . They have been learning about different cultures for the past few weeks so this was a great way to close the theme. The kids have been working all week on decorations, invitations, & activities and have become quite the party planners. We had a great time dancing, singing, reading stories, playing games, and of course eating! We had so much fun partying, that I forgot take pictures until the very end. Oh well, I am sure that there will be many more school parties to come.

Here are the few picture highlights I captured:

Trying to pin the coconut on the tree...

Notice the "grass" skirt...she was so proud of it.

Thrilled to be there...

Our fruit kabobs we made...yummy!

The eating of the Kabobs...
The best teacher...thank you Teacher Ashley for being such an involved teacher & truly caring for our kids. We will miss her so much when she moves in a few weeks (her husband is graduating law school...hurray for them!).
