"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences. "

The weekend of parties

We have been going constantly since Friday morning and are finally enjoying some down time. We started the weekend off with a Primary Halloween party on Friday morning. The kids had a great time playing together and being able to spend time together outside of primary.

After partying the morning away, we ran some errands, cleaned house, and our Friends Lucas & Larisa arrived. We got all the kids ready and headed to the the next event...Trunk-or-Treat (we discovered that this is not normal to those not familiar with the LDS world. Needless to say Lucas & Larisa found this a little odd at first but saw the brilliance of it after arriving.) We had a great time visiting with friends, freezing our limbs off, and seeing all the creative costumes (The adults in the ward got really got into it).

Once we had all thawed, we headed back to our house to put the kids to bed and hang out. We played games (Back in the day, we used to get together every weekend to play the Newlywed Game, Apples to Apples, & Scene It. Such fun times, we miss you guys!!) and watch the last two episodes of The Office. We had a great day and really enjoyed seeing old friends again.

Saturday consisted of Lucas & Larisa heading home (we'll miss ya!), my best friend Jane coming to town for the game (GO COUGS! They won also!), shopping, hosting another get together with friends and teaching Jane to make fleece blankets. Another fun & busy day.

Now it is Sunday evening and all of our company has come and gone. We have attended meetings, dealt with cranky kids, and now are relaxing before beginning another week full of things to do. We hope that you have all had a fun weekend too!!
