Despite abnormally cool temperatures and a few rain drops, we headed out to participate in the annual Chalk Art Festival at Uptown this morning. It's always the perfect way to kick-off summer, even though the weather feels nothing like summer so far this June.
We got started first thing this morning while the sun was making a rare appearance...
The Little Man particapated this year too...
That was until his hands got all chalky, and then he was done. He spent the rest of the morning playing cars and eating donuts instead.

Next to making your own art, walking around and admiring everyone else's is a lot of fun. It's fun to see all the different age levels (ranging from under 5 to adulthood.) We have some pretty amazing talent in our area!
Such a fun way to spend a Saturday morning!
