Randy is still working for the same company and is slowing creating his own position. He enjoys his co-workers and continues to expand his knowledge in the field through trainings and certifications. He works super hard for us and we are very proud of his ability to transform his position into something more. When not at work or playing with the kids he can be found noodling on his guitars. He is constantly amazing us with his ever expanding skills.
The Little Man celebrated his third Birthday this past June. He was accepted into an intense speech/OT program through our local hospital which he attends twice a week in addition to attending the Developmental Preschool each week day morning. He has made so many gains this year and we are so proud of him. He is still completely amazed by all things that move and can most often be found playing with cars and trains, he is rarely seen without them. He is a joy to have in our family and has taught us so much.
The Daughter just celebrated her 7th birthday last month. She is growing up right before our eyes, much to our dismay. She is extremely kindhearted, and constantly thinking of other’s feelings. She often times will hear of a need and volunteer our family to take care of them. She is a great example of service to all of us. She loves being a first-grader and getting to eat lunch at school everyday. When asked what her favorite part of school is, she always replies with everything! She has a great teacher and wonderful friends.
As for me, I’m always on the go. I can most often be found volunteering at the school, at church Youth activities (where I’m still a Youth Leader), helping out wherever needed, or running kids to and from appointments. I’ve discovered that finding time to be crafty is a must for my sanity. This spring I taught my 11th year at Jason Lee’s outdoor education program “Camp Wooten” and had yet another great week filled with many challenges and memories. My days are full and so is my heart.
After years of saving, we took a 10-day family vacation this past August. Oh the places we went! We visited Salt Lake City, Utah, Saint George, Utah for a weekend and then spent a week at Disneyland. Everyone had a great time seeing new sights, traveling many miles, laughing uncontrollably, and making lasting memories. It was by far one of our best vacations yet!
