"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences. "

A glipse of what we have been up to this summer

About two weeks ago I was left questioning where the lazy days of summer where. We have been so busy running from one event to another and from one project to the next, that we where missing out on our favorite season. While not all events have come to a stop, the projects have been put on hold so that we can live in the moment and take in all that summer has to offer. Sorry quilts, and painting, yard work, and that mile long list of things that "just" had to get done; we have some fun family memories to create!

So in place of the projects this is what we have been doing:

SwimmingHanging out, poolsideswimmingHaving friends over to playswimming with familygoing to the Boat Raceslearning to be fearlessBiking miles (let me clarify: I do a mile or two, Randy does 15-20 mile rides)Making a big splashHaving impromptu sprinkler dashesand swimming some more!(we make him wear a life vest when we're on the pool deck...he's a runner with very little fear)

There you have it, we've been enjoying the super HOT weather and soaking up as many rays as possible. What are you doing to make the most of your summer?
